What actions are required for customers who would like to receive calls from a Texas Department of Criminal Justice facility?
Users that have an incarcerated individual in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice facility will only receive their first phone call after the following items have been completed:
- Incarcerated Individuals have an approved calling list separate from the visitor list
- Users must register and be approved to receive calls at Friends and Family online Registration: www.texasprisonphone.com
The Incarcerated Individual will enroll in the voice biometrics system and be eligible to make calls.
This process can take 7-30 days depending on timing and resource availability at the facility.
