We have upgraded the Securus Text Connect system to use units called Connects for sending text messages. Any unused balance on your account at the time of this upgrade were converted to the number of Connects needed to send the same number of text messages you had in your account. Rest assured, you did not lose any purchased messages!
For example, let’s say you had five unused Text Connect messages for Facility X, and sending a Text Connect message at Facility X is 10 Connects. We multiply those two numbers together to get your new balance of 50 Connects, so you can send the same five messages at this facility with your 50 Connects.
If you have contacts at multiple facilities, this process applies to each facility. For example:

In addition to converting your unused messages to Connects, we gave everyone with active Securus Text Connect accounts at the time of the upgrade (September 5,2024) an additional set of Connects equal to 20 messages for each facility at which they use Text Connect. This gift from Securus is a thank-you for using our Securus Text Connect service!
