At this time text based messages can only support up to 160 characters per message and do not support pictures, emojis, gifs or videos.

You will receive a push notification from Securus which informs you that you have received a text message, even if you are not logged in to the Securus app. To be sure you’ll receive these notifications make sure Securus Text Connect notifications are enabled in your phone’s settings.

On the Securus apps, launch Text Connect from the home screen and select the contact you wish to block. Click the Ø to the right of the name to block future messages. You can unblock by clicking it again.

Securus Text Connect service is available to a limited number of facilities. It allows you to purchase a number of texts that you and your individual share. The service will be rolled out to additional facilities soon. To see if it is available go to Facilities We Serve and enter the State and Facility.
