What documents are required to set up a Special Account and how should the documents be sent to Securus?
To set up a Special Account with Securus, please fax or mail in documentation to have your account type changed to a Special Account – Direct Billed.
Attorneys and Public Defenders:
State Bar number
Tax ID number
Surety Bond- include Name of Bond Company
NOTE: Documentation should be on official company letterhead. We do not accept handwritten documentation.
All information should include your existing account number (you can request your account number with an agent at 1-800-844-6591 or you can locate your account number by logging into your online account at www.securustech.net)
If more than 10 telephone numbers need to be added to your account, please fax to (972) 277-0714 or mail a list to P.O. Box 1109 Addison, TX 75001, Attention: SPECIAL ACCOUNTS GROUP.
Please provide the name of all persons that will have access to make changes or inquiries on the account.
Requesting to be Tax Exempt? A form for Proof of Tax exemption is required.
All requests will be processed within 72 hours from the time the documents are received.
Once documentation has been verified, the account status will be updated.
If the account is needed for immediately use and you do not want to wait the 72 hours:
- If you currently have an account, you may add funds to your current Securus Online Account, through our automated system or with an agent at 1(800) 844-6591.
- If you do not currently have a Securus account, you may go to www.securustech.net and click on get started now, through our automated system or with an agent at 1(800) 844-6591.
Please note: All necessary documentation must be received and approved before the SPECIAL BUSINESS status can be changed to “SPECIAL ACCOUNTS”.
