You cannot call a facility but your incarcerated individual can make outgoing calls*. You will need to know the state and facility name where they are housed. The quickest way to get setup is to create your Securus online account then sign up for a prepaid calling account.
Click here to create your Securus online account and follow the instructions. You can also download our free apps for iOS and Android devices at the Apple app store or Google Play.
Next you learn about and sign up for a prepaid calling account. There are 2 options:
AdvanceConnect – this is a prepaid account owned by you. You fund this account and when your individual calls the cost of the call is deducted from your balance. You can also add multiple numbers to be able to accept a call. Only numbers on your account can receive calls and be paid for by your balance. Learn more and sign up.
Direct Bill – this account is owned by you but you are billed monthly for charges. This is typically used by attorneys and bail bonds people. Learn more here.
Another option is to make a deposit to a their Securus Debit account – this is an account owned by the incarcerated individual to purchase Securus services, including phone calls. Note this is NOT a commissary account. They can transfer money from their commissary or trust account into this account. When allowed by the facility you can also make a deposit to this account to help them stay connected and use other services, education and entertainment. Learn more here.
